plot.visreg() are ggplot2-based now.visreg2d()’s plot.type
argument is gone. plot.visreg2d() is now always a
ggplot2 contour plot (the base R
filled.contour-based "image" type has been
removed as redundant). Static and interactive 3D surface plots are now
handled by native S3 generics persp.visreg2d()
persp3d.visreg2d().
