• cox.ties = "breslow" is pinned in all internal Cox calls, locking in the v5.0 default and silencing the deprecation warning ahead of glmnet 5.1’s default switch to “efron”. Paper-era numerical behavior preserved.
• Bug fix: Cox fits with rho > 0 now converge under glmnet 5.0.
• Binomial fits in tie-heavy cases may differ marginally from earlier versions, due to an upstream sort-comparator correctness fix.
