• fix test failure on R-devel. RNGkind() gained a fourth component, binom.kind, in R 4.7.0 (r90299, 2026-07-25, “fix 2 signs in formula of the BTPE algorithm for rbinom(); add RNGkind(binom.kind=*)“). The tests no longer assert that it has exactly three elements. BatchContainer traces already stored RNGkind() verbatim, so no user-visible behaviour changed.
• examples, tests and vignettes now call data.table::setDTthreads(2), to avoid CPU time issues on CRAN check machines. This affects package checks only, not normal use.
• optimize_multi_plate_design() now passes p = 1 and penalize_lines = "none" to the within-plate scoring functions.
• new vignette showing how batch effects produce false positives.
• basic_examples vignette updated to the current $move_samples() syntax and a more designit-centric workflow.
