The coinclp package is licensed under the Eclipse Public License, as
recorded in the License field of DESCRIPTION.

coinclp links against COIN-OR Clp, which is a separate work distributed
under the Eclipse Public License 2.0 by the COIN-OR Foundation and
contributors <https://github.com/coin-or/Clp>. Clp is not included in this
package and must be installed on the system.

The compatibility layer in R/compat-clpAPI.R reproduces the function names
and argument names of the clpAPI package by Gabriel Gelius-Dietrich, which
was distributed under the GNU General Public License version 3, so that code
written against clpAPI keeps working. No code from clpAPI is used; the
implementation here is independent.
